Shuttlers raises $4million in recent funding to support its shared mobility solution in Nigeria
We are excited to announce that our portfolio company Shuttlers, a Nigerian shared mobility platform, has recently raised an impressive $4 million in a recent funding round led by Verod Kepple Africa Ventures (VKAV), a Pan-African focused Venture Capital Firm.
The round welcomed participation from follow-on investors, including Vested World, which led the mobility startup’s $1.6 million round 18 months ago. ShEquity, CMC 21 & Alsa and EchoVC are the startup’s other backers in this round.
Shuttlers is a platform that enables professionals to access efficient shared transportation in Lagos Metropolis.
In Lagos, the most populous city in Africa, the daily commute to work is always a daunting challenge, the daily commuter faces numerous encounters with congested roads, carbon emissions and limited transportation options. However, Shuttlers, led by CEO Damilola Olukesusi, since inception in 2016, has revolutionized employee commuting by providing partner companies in Lagos and Abuja with a bus sharing platform.
It is interesting to note that Shuttlers holds an impressive venture backing, with a cumulative funding of $5.6 million to date. This highlights the confidence investors hold in Shuttlers and their ability to create a positive impact in the shared mobility sector in Nigeria.
We wholeheartedly congratulate Shuttlers on securing $4million in funding. We are confident that their innovative approach will continue to create a lasting impact in the transportation sector in Nigeria.
